"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God : For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith : Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
The events of the past weeks continued to weaken our minds, our confidence levels, it brought us to a stage of uncertainty and even disturbed our families peace of mind. We did feel at times that the adversary of the reigning circumstances and destitution was overwhelming, and seemed to weigh us down.
But we have one weapon the no one can fashion… the true God in whom we trust, the One who is all powerful, omnipresent and cares for us. The One who knows our weaknesses, our fears and our needs, the One in whom we have refuge from the most fierce storm. We decided take our burden to Him and cast our cares upon Him, who makes our yoke lighter…..
The fasting prayer session on the 21st of Feb 09 was one of total sincerity and dedication. We did have a fairly large gathering of around twenty associates all fired up with the praise worship session led by Godfrey, Neelson and Carol. The singing was melodiously supported by Timothy and John on their guitars demonstrating that talents given by the Lord is to be used to serve him.
One of the highlights of the session was the official release of the blog by Christie Samuel after a stunning media preview of the site by its creator Belvin . Christie though not with Satyam now, is one of the founder members of the FoS and we all agree, that it is befitting for one of the deepest roots of the FoS, to inaugurate a site that will reveal to the world, the way God is working in Satyam through the FoS.
God’s word was brought to us by Neil Vimalkumar of RZIM. Neil’s message was truly an inspiration to us, through the life of “Doubting Thomas” the disciple who brought the Good News to India, he was able to encourage us, in knowing that under all circumstances God is good and will reveal his plan in His time, for every believer’s benefit alone. May God bless Neil’s ministry, grant him wisdom and spiritual strength and may he continue to serve the lord diligently.
The prayer session revealed prayer points for Satyam and various individuals who sought the Lord’s favour and blessing. It was spirit filled session and we know that God has heard every one of our prayers and will answer them; in fact, one of the answers came the same evening when the Media announced that the new Satyam Board has ordered a retention plan for its employees. Praise God!!!
We will be conducting our fasting prayer sessions once every two months, we would like to encourage more participation and may the FoS grow in Faith, Spirit, devotion, unity and numbers; and diligently establish its vision. We need to put together our talents our time, our spirit given gifts for His glory alone. May we all testify the marvelous way God has worked in our lives after we receive his answer to our prayers.
